Gilmer trip June 11-13

Finally made it home. Didn't get many wheeling pics, got a few busted up though. Mechanically, the weekend was miserable. Passenger rear wheel fell of the XJ at the bottom of the exit on Shake Rattle and Roll. Got it 'fixed', then re-broke the wheel studs again and the rotor just as I got to the top of DeWoody. Then the water pump in the Dodge blew all the water out of the weep hole on the way home, about 25 miles north of Nacodoches. Luckily I caught my brother and sister-in-law in Livingston on their way home, they came up and got the Jeep and trailer, I filled the radiator and limped it home. Now no work tomorrow, have to replace the water pump.

We still had a good time though, I had some friends and family make it out there. They got a little wheeling in, some got more than they wanted. Almost dumped the XJ over once. Had a good time seeing some friends I haven't seen in a while, even got time Friday to go visit some family I have that have lived within 10 minutes of BMRA for 10 or 15 years, and I didn't know it. All in all, it was still a good weekend.

So do we know the cause of the missing wheel? Sounds like a fun weekend I missed out on. Hear Jason broke as well. At least you got home safe bud.

Yeah, he twisted an axle on SR&R. Think we figured out my nephew was a jinx. he was riding with both of us when we broke that day.

Autozone in Cleveland had one in stock, I'm about halfway through replacing it. The Jeep was easier.
